After breakfast leave for Kandy en route visit Pinnawala elephant orphanage Pinnawala elephant orphanage has one of the largest herd of elephants in captivity. It was established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka wildlife department. The 24- acre- elephant orphanage is also a breeding ground for elephants. The first baby elephant was born there in 1984 and between 1975 and 2012, 67 animals were born. Main attractions are feeding baby elephants by milk bottle and bathing of the elephants.

After breakfast leave for galle en route you may visit Kirinda temple & Hambantota salt plan The ancient temple is perched atop a rocky outpost, from which one can obtain a magnificent view of the desolate coast with its long stretch of sand dunes and the ocean beyond. On a clear day, the light house on the great bass’s reef appears like a needle in the far distance. The legend has it that Kirinda was the place where Princess Viharamahadevi drifted ashore after being sacrificed to the sea to atone for her father.
Salt plan ,The coastal line of Hambantota is dominated by shimmering expansive saltpans that stretch along the main road for about 15km. Salt is produced by means of allowing the sea water into the pans called ‘Lewayas’ that makes the seawater evaporates leaving only salt to be scraped up and collected. The salt pans attract a large number of waders and shore birds, including greater flamingo, spot-billed pelican, several species of plover and tern, gulls, ducks, egrets, sandpipers and many others.

01. Galle Sightseeing - An ancient city is now a modern and buzzing town, though the Dutch fortress remains as it was during the Dutch period. Galle was the most important sea port at the crossroads of Far East & Middle East since the days of the Romans. The Dutch Fortress is one of the best preserved in the Island. The oldest Protestant church in the country called the ‘’ Groote Kirk ’’ built by the Dutch among many other buildings, villas, bungalows, mosques are inside the fort, fortified by massive ramparts.
02. Boat ride in Madu Ganga - Maduganga, the River Madu and Wetlands is one of the great combination of nature’s wonders: Birdlife, mangroves, and islands in the river, traditional fishing & prawn trapping. A boat ride in the river would expose you to the whole new experience with the nature.
03. Kosgoda Turtle sanctuary - The sanctuary was created to protect the endangered species. The eggs are collected and immediately buried in a sandy compound that offers protection from birds, crabs and humans, thanks to some netting. Out of 8 varieties of turtle in the world, five can be found here: parrot, green, loggerhead, crocodile and leatherback. In this turtle hatchery you will be able to admire the regular lodgers such as rare albino turtles, two blind turtles and a turtle with no fins. These will never be released to the sea as they would not be able to survive. Sick turtles are also treated here before being set free.
After breakfast leave for Colombo through high way reach Colombo sightseeing and shopping in Colombo is the commercial capital and there are plenty of places to shop. There are high end places such as Majestic City shopping complex, Galle face Green, House of Fashion and the ODEL Unlimited Dress Boutique or you can go on a shopping spree in bustling Pettah market.

The view from our balcony in room # 409, was terrific. It was centrally located to everything on and around the port area. Wonderful service and everything was very clean. The breakfast was below average, although not bad. If back in Zante Town we would stay there again.
It is close to everything but if you go in the lower season the pool won't be ready even though the temperature was quiet high already.
